Everything you need before you come. Hours, directions, accessibility, and the small stuff that makes the trip easier.
Hours shift with the seasons. Here is the current schedule, and what each season brings.
Summer produce season: fresh produce at the Nagel Emporium. Season hours below take over as the calendar turns.
We're on the Marmion Abbey grounds in west Aurora, just off Hart Rd.
About 45 minutes west via I-88. Exit at Orchard Road, head south, then west on Hart Rd.
Naperville, Wheaton, and Geneva are all 20 to 30 minutes out. Easy reach via Route 59 or Eola Road.
Free on-site parking near the main entrance. During major events we open an overflow lot with attendants directing traffic, so come a little early on peak weekends.
ADA-accessible spaces are located near the Emporium, the closest point of entry to most of what families come for.
The paths are crushed rock and fines rather than pavement. The areas around the Emporium and the main entrance are the easiest to get around; farther out, surfaces are more uneven, especially after rain.
Some of the farm experience happens out in the fields: the corn maze, the pumpkin patch, and the Christmas tree lot are on grass and gravel and can be uneven, especially after rain or snow.
Have a specific question about a route or accommodation? Call us at 630-966-7775 and we'll help plan the visit.
Leashed dogs are welcome anywhere on the farm except the hay rides and the corn maze. Bring waste bags and please clean up. Service dogs are welcome anywhere.
Dog Daze in late May is the one event truly built around bringing your dog along, with the property set up for them and other dog-loving families on hand.
The apple cider donuts are made fresh on-site through the fall season. Most pantry goods you'll find in the Emporium are produced off-site by partner makers and arrive packaged.
If you have specific allergen questions, ask any staff member at the Emporium or call ahead at 630-966-7775.
We host school groups, scout troops, church groups, and clubs, with most group programming running through the fall. Other times of year are possible; reach out and we'll see what we can shape around your group.
Get in touch a few weeks ahead so we can map out the day, line up any add-ons like wagon rides or maze access, and quote group pricing.
A short list of practical notes from regulars and staff. Small things that make a visit easier.
Every visit supports the Monks of Marmion Abbey.
Thank you for spending the day here.
